Pedestrian Hit By Car In Evanston Hospitalized
The 26-year-old Northwestern student was hit as she crossed Clark Street Wednesday afternoon.

EVANSTON, IL — A Northwestern student was hit by car while crossing Clark Street Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

The victim has been identified by police as a 26-year-old Northwestern student.
She was immediately taken to Evanston Hospital with a head injury, where she remained in serious condition, Evanston police said.

The woman was struck at approximately 3:10 p.m. as she crossed Clark between Chicago Avenue and Orrington Avenue by a car driving north through an alley before it turned left and headed West onto Clark .
The driver was a 44-year-old Evanston woman, according to a police spokesperson.

Evanston police said Clark remained closed for several hours as the Major Crash Assistance Team investigated.
