Penn Station Subs Coming to North Shore
Expect three to five shops to open in the north suburbs over the next few years.

Penn Station East Coast Subs is coming to Chicago’s North Shore.
The Cincinnati-based sandwich chain has signed a multi-unit agreement with Chicago native Tony Zagone, who has committed to opening 3-5 restaurants across the north suburbs over the next three to five years, according to the Daily North Shore. The first location will be on the North Shore, but it is still unknown where.
“I believe that combining my restaurant experience with Penn Station’s awesome food will lead to several successful restaurants in the North Shore,” Zagone said.
Penn Station already has Chicagoland locations in Skokie, Lombard, Bolingbrook, Grayslake and Gurnee.
The sandwich shop features grilled sub sandwiches and is known for its Philly cheesesteak. The menu also includes fresh-cut fries, hand-squeezed lemonade and chocolate chunk cookies baked daily in the restaurant.
