Pizza Driver Threatened with Rock in Evanston: Police

An 18-year-old man has been charged on accusations he used a rock to steal a pizza.

Police say Corey J. Brownlee had a rock in his hand and raised his arm up to the pizza driver as if to throw it at the driver’s vehicle during a delivery in the 2100 block of Darrow Avenue on Dec. 10, according to an Evanston Review report.

The driver came to the block to deliver food, and was allegedly approached by Browlnee and two others who attempted to pay using a credit card. When the driver asked for an ID and they did not provide one, he left.

Brownlee is then accused of using the rock to threaten the driver, who surrendered the pizza, left the area and called police.

Brownlee, who faces a charge of armed robbery without a firearm, was arrested minutes later.
