Police Arrest Man Accused of Ransacking Cars in Austin Street Garage
The Des Plaines man was allegedly seen exiting a garage with items that did not belong to him.

A Des Plaines man is charged with two counts of burglary to motor vehicle after police say they found him exiting a garage in the 1100 block of Austin Street early Tuesday.
Officers were in the area in reference to a caller who stated they heard someone attempt to enter their residence. When they arrived, police say they found a man later identified as Jehad S. Sanduka, 24 exiting the garage of a different residence on the same block.

“The subject did not live at the location and was further discovered to be carrying a bag that contained several personal items that did not belong to him,” according to a report.
Upon checking the garage, officers discovered two vehicles that appeared to have been ransacked and were registered to the same name - that of a 58-year-old Evanston man - as the personal items that were located in the bag the subject was carrying.
