Potbelly Offering Free Food For A Year At Evanston Event

The Evanston shop will host games, prizes and a chance for the first 50 fans in line to win Potbelly for a year.

EVANSTON, IL — Potbelly Sandwich Shop will offer 50 fans a year of free food at its upcoming re-opening in Evanston.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 630 Davis Street in Evanston. Potbelly said the celebration will mark the reveal of the shop's updated interior and enhanced fan experience.

The Chicago-founded sandwich chain said the one-day event will include "craveable food, games, and an opportunity to win free Potbelly for a year" for the first 50 fans in line on April 8.

Guests will also be able to take part in an interactive chalkboard "memory wall" and share their favorite Potbelly menu items.

The Evanston event is part of Potbelly's nationwide refresh initiative. The effort is meant to "update and energize local shops while creating more engaging, community-focused guest experiences." The shop will also offer people a chance to sign up onsite for the Potbelly Perks loyalty rewards program.

Students from Northwestern University, Beacon Academy and Evanston Township High School can also receive a 15 percent discount at the Evanston location by showing a valid student ID in the shop. The offer is valid from Wednesday, April 8, through Sunday, April 12, and applies only at the Evanston location.
