Power Outage Closes Evanston Library Tuesday
The library will open at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
EVANSTON, IL - A power outage reported before noon on Tuesday has closed the main branch of the Evanston Public Library.
The library, at 1703 Orrington Ave., will open at 9 a.m. on Wednesday according to a Facebook post.
The library originally posted that they would close temporarily until the outage was resolved, but seven minutes later it was determined the library would close for the day.

Both branches of the main library at 2026 Central St. and 900 Chicago Ave. will remain open until 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
