Power Outages Affected More Than 2,500 in Evanston
Traffic lights were out on Chicago Ave., elsewhere

UPDATE: As of 11:25 a.m., all power has been restored. ComEd is still investigating the cause.
ComEd is reporting an electric power outage in a large section of south Evanston, with 2,742 customers affected.
The areas affected are shown in this Outage map updated 9:31 a.m.

They include from Madison to Oakton St., Ridge to Florence; South Blvd. to Austin St., Chicago Ave. to Ridge Rd.; Main St. to South Blvd., Chicago Ave. to Ridge Ave.; Crain to Madison, Custer to Ridge.
Some customers in these areas may have electric service, Evanston community engagement coordinator Martha Logan said, adding that four ComEd circuits could be affected as of 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Traffic lights have also been reported as out on Chicago Ave. from South Blvd. north for at least a mile and a half.
