Preckwinkle To Speak at Evanston Groundbreaking Wednesday
Cook county Board President Toni Preckwinkle coming to Evanston Wednesday to speak at renovated apartment ground breaking.

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle is expected to speak at a groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation of the Jane R. Perlman and Victor Walchirk Apartments in Evanston Wednesday.
The apartments, located at 1900 Sherman Avenue, are a 199-unit building that will be renovated by the Housing Authority of Cook County, according to a press release issued by the county. The buildings will provide housing for low-income seniors and persons with disabilities.

Other speakers include Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, Illinois Senator Daniel Biss, Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl, Evanston Alderwoman Judy Fiske, Cook County Housing Authority Executive Director Richard Monocchio, and Illinois Housing Developing Authority Assistant Director Christine Moran, according to the release.
