Property Tax Appeal Seminar is Tuesday in Council Chambers

Cook County officials will be on hand to answer questions.

A Property Tax Appeal Seminar designed to provide the community with information about the property tax system and appeal process is planned for Tuesday, May 12 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Morton Civic Center - Council Chambers.

The seminar, which will be hosted by Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin and the City of Evanston, will allow homeowners the opportunity to have questions answered by a representative from the Cook County Assessor’s office and be able to submit late or missed exemption and certificate of error applications.

Homeowners should bring a copy of their most recent property tax bill if they have it, but it is not required.
