Radar Speed Signs Coming to Oakton Street: Alderman

Evanston 9th Ward Ald. Brian Miller says residents’ concerns over speeders on Oakton Street has been one of the areas he has been focusing on during his first 90 days on the City Council and that action is already set to take place.

In the spring of 2016, two radar speed signs will be installed, Miller announced in an e-mail newsletter to constituents on Friday.

“I am also working with residents to identify locations for possible speed bumps and stop signs on local residential streets that intersect with Oakton,” he wrote. “I am committed to reducing speeding on Oakton through the best possible methods.”
