Rally Against Gun Violence Planned at Fountain Square
Residents are asked to wear orange Thursday in support of ending gun violence in Evanston.

EVANSTON, IL - Residents of Evanston are expected to join community leaders and other speakers at Fountain Square on Thursday in wearing orange and marking Gun Violence Awareness Day.
The rally, co-sponsored by "Dear Evanston," "Citizens' Greener Evanston" and "People for a Safer Society," was called to support ending gun violence in Evanston.
It will begin at 5:30 p.m. and last for roughly an hour.

Speakers include Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl, 7th Ward Ald. Eleanor Revelle, Royce Pryor and Carolyn Murray (two mothers who lost children to gun violence), recent ETHS graduate Camille Allen and Denyse Stonebeck of "People for a Safer Society."
Anyone attending is asked to wear orange.
