Rally Against Racism is Friday in Evanston

YWCA Evanston/North Shore's 'Stand Against Racism' will take shape at several locations in Evanston and Skokie.

EVANSTON, IL - A rally against racism is planned for Friday in Evanston.

Thousands of residents of Evanston and Skokie are expected to join the YWCA Evanston/North Shore in the rally, which will have multiple locations.

In Evanston, those interested in the 'Stand Against Racism' will meet at Ridge Ave. and Church St. from 12:30 p.m. to 12:55 p.m. and Skokie residents will stand on Oakton Ave. in downtown Skokie and other locations from 10:35 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Last year, more than 10,000 people lined the streets for the event.
