Red Line Robbers Target Northbound CTA Passengers Near Howard

Police say 2-3 men have been holding up CTA Red Line passengers at knifepoint.

CHICAGO, IL - Users of the CTA Red Line in Chicago are on alert after police say people have been robbing people at knifepoint near the Howard Street stop.

According to the Chicago Police Department, multiple reports have been received indicating 2-3 black men between 20 and 25 years old have been approaching victims on the train. They display a knife and demand property before exiting the train at the Jarvis exit in the 1500 block of W. Jarvis in Chicago or the Howard Street exit in the 7500 block of N. Paulina in Chicago.

Both offenders are described by police as being between 6'1" and 6'5" and from 170 to 220 lbs.
