Red Robin Plans To Open On Maple Avenue in Evanston
Nationwide burger chain seeks special use permit to open at former Borders site.

In case you thought the city of Evanston was a little short on options for a good burger, here comes Red Robin.
The Colorado-based chain plans to open a location in the corner space at 1700 Maple Ave., a space last operated by a Borders book store - Evanston Now reports.
Room for 34 inside tables and an additional 36 customers will be on the outdoor patio. 10 to 12 employees will be on duty per shift.

The chain, which hopes to complete the vacant space partially occupied by Northwestern Mutual, will need to be granted a special use permit from the city.
