Reiki Master Celebrates 1 Year In Evanston

Divine Creative Synergy opened up shop April 2017 in the AMLI Evanston building.

EVANSTON, IL — It's been a year since Diann Squiers moved to Evanston and opened the first location of her business Divine Creative Synergy at 707 Chicago Ave. Describing Evanston as supportive of small businesses, with beautiful neighborhoods and friendly communities, she said she has appreciated getting to better know the town and its residents.

Divine Creative Synergy provides sessions of Reiki, a form of Japanese alternative medicine, as well as aromatherapy consultations and meditation mornings. Squiers is a certified Reiki master practitioner, a certified Reiki master teacher and a certified aromatherapist.

The studio also provides quarterly openings of new art showcases highlighting work by local artists, which are on display for three to four months at a time. Those interested in being featured next quarter have until May 19 to apply by submitting some images of their art in any medium.

Squier, formerly of Chicago, said she was looking for a live/work space and the AMLI Evanston building provided the perfect opportunity. She also volunteers with the Women's Club of Evanston and the Main-Dempster Miles and holds special events every month.
