EVANSTON, IL - A robber who claimed he wanted money was just interested in a sub sandwich.
Someone entered a sandwich shop in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16 and gave the employee a note that read "put the money in the bag and nobody gets hurt," according to information gathered from an Evanston Police Department deployment meeting.
The man did not display a weapon, and curiously fled the store as soon as he left the note.
