PEER Services provides community-based substance use prevention and treatment services to teens, adults and families in Northern Cook County, including Evanston, Maine, New Trier, Niles and Northfield Townships, and the north side of Chicago. PEER Services reduces the harms of substance use, addiction and stigma by engaging youth and adults with innovative prevention programming and by supporting people on their path to recovery through holistic, evidence-based treatment. EVANSTON, IL - The northbound lanes of Sheridan Road between Colfax and Lincoln streets in Evanston will be closed between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9 as water main construction takes place. The southbound lane will remain open, but delays are expected throughout the day. Parking will be prohibited on Colfax St. between Orrington Ave. and Sheridan during this time to accommodate the increase in traffic.

Founded in 1983 by Lori Lippitz, Maxwell Street Klezmer Band has played at Carnegie Hall, toured Europe, and provided the soundtrack for Chicagoland’s Jewish celebrations for over 4 decades. The band marked its 40th “Bandiversary” at The Old Town School of Folk Music in 2023. The group is releasing a new live album as well as an educational band book series in 2026.&nbsp;
