Shots Fired at Car, Homes Sunday Night in Evanston

Police found 11 shell casings on Greenwood Street near ETHS after two men in a car reported being shot at several times.

EVANSTON, IL - Several gunshots were fired at a vehicle and two homes near Evanston Township High School Sunday night.

Police responded to the 2300 block of Greenwood Street at 10:10 p.m., when a 21-year-old man and 17-year-old boy reported being shot at in their vehicle just after they left home.

While investigating, police found the vehicle they were in was shot at four times and two nearby homes were also struck.

No one was injured in the incident, which resulted in police recovering 11 .40 caliber shell casings in front of a home on the block.

Evanston police were canvassing the area and reviewing evidence on Monday.
