Sidewalk Improvements Coming to Some City Streets
Construction in the areas of Mason Park and Philbrick Park will begin on Wednesday.

The City of Evanston will contract sidewalk improvements in the areas of Mason Park and Philbrick Park beginning on Wednesday, September 30.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of October, and will involve the replacement of sidewalk and courtesy walk that have ponding, icing and other walkability issues. Locations scheduled for improvements are:

- Church St. (south side), from the Mason Park entrance to Florence Ave.
- Florence Ave. (west side), from Church to Davis Streets
- Davis St. (north side), from Florence Ave. to the Mason Park entrance
- Sherman Ave. (west side), from Gaffield Pl. to Philbrick Park’s south limit
Construction zone parking restrictions will be intermittent throughout the duration of the project, and temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted 48 hours prior to the start of any work. Street sweeping and neighborhood parking restrictions will be waived for a one-block radius around the construction zone when temporary daytime “No Parking” restrictions are in effect.
