Skokie Man Charged With DUI After Crashing Into Building On Evanston-Chicago Border
Two passengers suffered minor injuries in the late-night crash at Howard Street and Chicago Avenue, police said.

EVANSTON, IL — A drunken Skokie man crashed an SUV into a building on the border between Evanston and Chicago, authorities said.
Evanston police and fire crews were dispatched to the corner of Howard Street and Chicago Avenue — the continuation of Clark Street in Chicago — shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Davadis D. Morrow, 31, of Skokie, was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, police reported.

Morrow was driving a Chevrolet Equinox with two passengers when he crashed into the southwest corner of 525 Howard St., causing them both to suffer minor injuries.
They were treated by Evanston Fire Department personnel at the scene and later taken to an area hospital.

"Evidence of intoxication was discovered, including open alcohol," said Cmdr. Ryan Glew.
The collision caused some minor structural damage to the building, which houses a local optician's office.
