ETHS presents "Pippin"

Get ready for a magical experience when Evanston Township High School presents the award-winning musical “Pippin” on April 24 and 25 and May 1 and 2. Curtain is at 7:30pm in the ETHS Auditorium.

Last year, a circus-themed Broadway production of “Pippin” won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. Working in collaboration with Evanston-based Actors Gymnasium, where many students in the “Pippin” cast study circus arts, the ETHS show will capture the magic of the big top.

Beyond the circus motif, this musical story follows prince Pippin, the son of Charlemagne, on his quest for life’s meaning. Along the way, he discovers that war is devastating, and that while magic makes life interesting, the only thing in life that counts is love. Directed by Tom Sollers, “Pippin” features 58 talented ETHS students.
