St. Athanasius School Names Carol McClay Principal

Experienced Chicago Archdiocese instructor describes St. A's as "a perfect fit" for her.

EVANSTON, IL - St. Athanasius School in Evanston has hired Carol McClay as its new principal.

McClay has more than 15 years of experience in the Chicago Archdiocese Schools. She’s been the assistant principal at St. Paul of the Cross in Park Ridge and been a second grade teacher at several other Archdiocese schools.

“St. A’s is a perfect fit for me,” said Mrs. McClay. “I love the theme of LOVE, LEARN, LEAD and look forward to working with everyone in this very special community. It is going to be a great year for academics, spirituality, sports and community. Go Redhawks!”

Pastor Hernan Cuevas was more than a bit excited to announce the addition of McClay.

“Our prayers have been answered! We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. McClay to the St. A’s family,” he said. “Our selection committee was most impressed with her management experience, time in the classroom and boundless energy!”
