'State Of The State' Seminar With Senator Daniel Biss

Sen. Biss to hold "State of the State: An Inside Look at the Chaos in Springfield (and How to Solve It)" seminar in Evanston Saturday.

EVANSTON, IL — A political advocacy group has announced it is kicking off a new series of events called "Policy in 60 Minutes" Saturday in Evanston.

The first in Action for a Better Tomorrow's series will be policy seminar with Democratic Senator Daniel Biss. Biss represents Illinois' Ninth District and was the winner of the 2017 Illinois Democratic County Chairmen's Association gubernatorial candidate straw poll.

Saturday's event has been titled “State of the State: An Inside Look at the Chaos in Springfield (and How to Solve It)” and will be free and open to the public.

ABT said the series of seminars aims to educate public and its members on important issues in politics today.

The group, founded after the 2016 election, said it has become one of the fasted growing advocacy organizations in Illinois, with 35,000 members already.

Its Evanston chapter will hold an open meeting following the seminar in the same room.
