Talking Farm Celebrates w Benefit

The Talking Farm has much to celebrate at its benefit on Sunday April 6 (5-8 pm) at Farmhouse Evanston, 703 Church St. On February 18 it was given approval to sell and distribute the produce it grows on its 2+ acre site on Howard St. in Skokie. This is a huge achievement for the organic-style urban farm, which hopes to be self-sustaining in a few years, and assures its positive future.

The benefit at Farmhouse includes a buffet dinner, appetizers, beer and wine, and music byThe Greenleaf Band. Dinner and drinks will be locally sourced--the philosophy of Farmhouse is to use primarily products from Illinois and nearby states: Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Cost is $75 per person, everything included, and dress is casual ($4.75 fee per ticket is added for online purchase). For info and tickets see this link:

Won't it be wonderful when The Talking Farm has its own produce at Farmhouse!
