Thai Restaurant Opens in Downtown Evanston
NaKorn on Orrington Avenue brings homestyle Thai food to downtown Evanston.

EVANSTON, IL - NaKorn, Evanston’s newest option for Thai food, has its roots in Bangkok.
Owners Mina Sudsaard and Sam Rattanopas have been friends since they were in third grade in Bangkok, according to the Daily Northwestern. Now, they are bringing homestyle Thai food to Evanston with the new restaurant that officially opened at 1622 Orrington Ave. just this month.

“It’s been a long journey for us to get here,” Sudsaard has said. “But we decided to do this with love. We love food. We want to tell the story, tell the culture through our food.”
