Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center's June 11 Rising to the Challenge Benefit Raises Over $96,000

Event Honored Impact 100 Chicago and Turning Point's Evolv Implementation Team

More than 200 guests gathered at the Evanston Golf Club, 4401 Dempster St. in Skokie, on June 11 for Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center’s annual benefit, grossing more than $96,000 for the non-profit organization. Leading sponsors of this event included ‘Wellness Sponsors’ Dolgin Construction and Rush University College of Nursing and ‘Resilience Sponsors’ Allergan, BDO, First Bank & Trust, Porte Brown LLC, and Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin.

This year’s benefit, entitled Rising to the Challenge, honored Impact 100 Chicago and Turning Point’s Evolv Implementation Team members for their commitment to and support of comprehensive, high quality mental health care for everyone.

Turning Point CEO Ann Fisher Raney thanked Impact 100 Chicago, represented by Allison Bacon. “You changed our lives with your generous grant. Thanks to you, Turning Point is now prepared to roll out our new Same Day Access program, a game-changing approach for eliminating waiting lists and allowing our staff to provide solid support immediately to individuals in need of mental health services.”

Turning Point’s Evolv Implementation Team was also honored. Raney said “This talented and tireless group was instrumental in making a seamless transition to the agency’s new electronic medical record system, which is already improving our efficiency and strengthening our ability to provide our clients with the best possible service and care.”

Guests enjoyed a lively musical performance by the Julian Chin Trio, a silent auction that featured many exciting prizes, including a week-long stay in Switzerland, an Orlando family getaway, tickets to Lollapalooza, Chicago sports, restaurant and entertainment tickets, private meals with U.S. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, State Rep. Robyn Gabel, State Rep. Lou Lang and State Sen. Daniel Biss, and much more, and a unique “Wellness Tips” video booth, where attendees offered their personal ideas about how to stay happy, healthy and resilient.

Evanston resident Jay Lytle, former mayor of Evanston and one of the co-founders of First Bank & Trust, and Ann Fisher Raney served as live appeal emcees throughout the evening, encouraging attendees to donate to the cause.

Attendees also purchased tickets for two exciting raffle prizes. First prize was a seven-night all-inclusive stay for two at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico, and second prize was an Apple Smart Watch.
