There are a variety of legal methods which allow a person to make the healthcare and financial
decisions for another person. This session will address the various options for surrogate decision
makers such as Power of Attorney for Healthcare (which changed on January 1, 2015), Power of
Attorney for Property, the Healthcare Surrogate Act, the Mental Health Preference Treatment
Declaration Act, and Guardianships. Presented by: Janna Dutton, JD, CELA.
