Voracious Reading: Storytime and craft with author Elise Parsley at Meatheads!

Author Elise Parsley will be having a story and craft time at Meatheads, reading If You Ever Want to Bring an Alligator to School, Don’t!, to get kids excited about reading! Meatheads kicks off its 5th annual Voracious Reading Program on June 1st. The program runs until late August and encourages kids to read books during the summer to stay sharp. Students must read 5 books to earn a reward of one little Meatheads burger. Students can print out a certificate at www.meatheadsburgers.com. A parent or guardian signature is required for each award. Last summer more than 125,000 kids participated in The Voracious Reading program, and this year the program is hoping to reach 150,000 kids through local schools and libraries near all 16 Meatheads locations in Chicagoland and Indiana.
