Water Main Improvements on Pinter Ave. Begin August 24
Street resurfacing planned between Nathaniel Place and Dempster Street.

Submitted by the City of Evanston
Beginning the week of August 24, the City of Evanston will be contracting water main and street resurfacing improvements on Pitner Ave., between Nathaniel Pl. and Dempster St. This project includes the replacement of the existing deteriorated ten-inch water main with new ductile iron pipe; curb replacement as needed; roadway base repair; and replacement of the asphalt surface from curb to curb along with selected sidewalk replacement. The work is part of the City’s continuous program to renovate and improve the water distribution system throughout the community.
The actual date for construction in the area will be noted on temporary NO PARKING signed posted 48 hours prior to the start of work. Sprinkler systems should be identified and marked with a flag by the property owner prior to the start of construction to prevent damages. The entire project is expected to be fully completed by late October 2015.
