Water Main, Street Improvements Planned For Dodge Avenue This Summer
"No Parking" restrictions will be in effect until project is completed in August.

Submitted by the City of Evanston
Beginning the week of Monday, June 15, the City of Evanston will contract water main and street resurfacing improvements on Dodge Ave., between Mulford and Oakton Streets. The project is expected to be completed in mid-August 2015.
The project includes the replacement of the existing deteriorated 10-inch water main with new ductile iron pipe. The street resurfacing portion of the project involves curb replacement as needed, roadway base repair, replacement of the asphalt surface from curb to curb along with selected sidewalk replacement.

Construction zone daytime “No Parking” restrictions will be intermittent throughout the duration of the project; evening and nighttime parking (5 p.m.to 7 a.m.) will be available on the east side of Dodge Ave. Street sweeping and neighborhood parking restrictions will be waived for a one-block radius around the construction zone when temporary daytime “No Parking” restrictions are in effect.
Sprinkler systems should be identified and marked with a flag by property owners prior to the start of construction to prevent damages.
