Whole Foods One Dime at a Time to Benefit NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center
NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) Kellogg Cancer Center and Whole Foods Market team up to to support cancer patients
WHAT: NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) Kellogg Cancer Center and Whole Foods Market have teamed up to create an easy way to support cancer patients—and help the planet—each time you shop for groceries. To reduce its impact on the environment, Whole Foods Market regularly offers a 10-cent credit for each reusable shopping bag customers use at the store. Through December at the three Whole Foods locations listed below, those credits can be donated directly to Kellogg Cancer Center.

FICIARY: Proceeds from One Dime at a Time event will go to help NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center support services. These unique services assist patients and family members with a variety of challenges they may have from diagnosis, treatment and beyond. These services are offered to all patients free of charge. These support services include an Integrative Medicine Program which provides complementary therapies to help patients improve well-being reduce stress and optimize cancer treatments. Psychosocial Program provides services to help patients manage emotional and practical needs. And nutritional services help patients improve their ability to tolerate prescribed treatment, avoid complications and protect quality of life. When patients are finished with their cancer treatment, the Living in the Future (LIFE) Cancer Survivorship Program helps them adapt and focus on their future health and well-being.
