
Evanston’s record-setting baseball team will take on arch-rival New Trier on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the championship game of the Class 4A Evanston Sectional tournament.
Evanston will take a 31-7 record into the showdown, which is expected to draw a standing-room-only crowd at ETHS Stadium, against the 27-7 Trevians.
Evanston reached the finals by blanking Lane Tech 7-0 while the Trevians came from behind to eliminate Glenbrook North 9-6 in 9 innings in the other semifinal game.

Tickets are $7 in advance if purchased by GoFan and will cost $8 at the gate on Saturday. Doors open at 10 a.m. and spectators should park in the back of the school in Parking Lot 2. The game will also be broadcast LIVE at the NFHS Network for a fee of $11.99.
Winner of the Evanston Sectional advances to the Illinois High School Association Super-Sectional at Wintrust Field in Schaumburg on Monday at 7:30 p.m., against the winner of the Mundelein Sectional, either Stevenson or Hersey.
