Windsurfer Rescued From Lake Michigan Near Evanston Lakefront
The U.S. Coast Guard made the rescue late Monday afternoon.
EVANSTON, IL - A windsurfer was rescued from Lake Michigan in Evanston Monday afternoon.
The windsurfer was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard around 5:30 p.m., according to an ABC-7-Chicago report.
The Evanston Fire Department assisted in the rescue effort, which included the windsurfer remaining in contact with authorities for at least 10 minutes until he was found.
