Yale Dean to Be Next Provost at Northwestern

Jonathan Holloway will trade one of the world's best schools for another in becoming administrative head at Northwestern.

Jonathan Holloway will replace Daniel Linzer at Northwestern beginning on July 1, 2017, when he will leave his position at the liberal arts college of Yale University, another of the world’s most prestigious institutions.

“Leaving that institution is a decision that did not come easily, and I leave New Haven with many, many fond memories, said Holloway, 49. “That said, I am looking forward to a new professional adventure, and my family shares in my excitement about discovering the opportunities and resources in the Evanston and Chicago communities.”
