Yellowbrick to Host 9th Annual Educational Conference for Mental Health Professionals

Yellowbrick, a psychiatric healthcare facility in Evanston, to host a conference for mental health professionals on treating young adults.

EVANSTON, Ill.-- Yellowbrick, a psychiatric healthcare facility that treats young adults with complex mental health difficulties, is co-sponsoring a conference for mental health professionals with the nationally acclaimed Menninger Clinic on Dec. 11. The half-day event will be held at Yellowbrick’s headquarters at One Rotary Center, 1560 Sherman Ave., in Evanston.

The Menninger Clinic is a psychiatric hospital based in Houston, TX, that provides treatment programs for adolescents, young adults and adults and is ranked fifth in U.S. News and World Report’s survey of psychiatric centers.

“Emerging adults are particularly vulnerable to mental health risks including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and various forms of addiction. It’s important to focus on this age group because this is when most people develop psychiatric illnesses, and research is constantly evolving about the best ways to treat these young people,” said Dr. Jesse Viner, CEO and Executive Medical Director at Yellowbrick. “This conference will focus on understanding and managing issues of risk in working intensively with this population.”
