On Your Feet Foundation Appoints Rikki Ray as Director of Development

Evanston nonprofit On Your Feet Foundation appoints local fundraising professional and birthmom as Director of Development.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EVANSTON, Ill., January 25, 2017 — Patricia Trudeau, LCSW, President of the Board of Directors of On Your Feet Foundation (OYFF), announces the appointment of Rikki Ray as the organization’s Director of Development.

Ray, a resident of Chicago, joins the Evanston 501c3 nonprofit with over 10 years of experience in fundraising within schools and social services agencies.

A graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison, Ray first became associated with OYFF nearly 15 years ago, after placing her daughter, Lena, in an open adoption. Since then, she served many years on OYFF’s Board of Directors and has also chaired several of their fundraisers.

Founded in 2001, OYFF provides support to birthparents that have chosen adoption for their child. To get the birthparents get “back on their feet,” the organization sponsors a number of programs, including a nationwide community of parents going through similar situations, adoption-related educational courses and panels, and case management services and monetary grants for clients residing in Illinois and Indiana.

2017 is a year of expansion for the organization, as they plan to award $25k in grants to birthmoms residing in Illinois and Indiana, in addition to hosting three birthmom retreats and providing case management services to 100 birthparents.
