YWCA Gets $15K For Domestic Violence Services

The grant was awarded by the Chicago Foundation for Women.

Evanston, IL - A $15,000 grant was awarded to the YWCA Evanston/North Shore recently to allow the non profit to support domestic violence services.

The grant award came from the Chicago Foundation for Women, an organization dedicated to increasing resources and opportunities for women and girls in the greater Chicago area.

“We are grateful for this much needed support and for Chicago Foundation for Women’s ongoing commitment to investing in women,” said Karen Singer, president and CEO of YWCA Evanston/North Shore. “The foundation’s goals align with our mission at YWCA to empower women, eliminate racism and build better communities.”

The YWCA offers comprehensive domestic violence services including a 24-hour crisis line (877-718-1868) and an emergency shelter for survivors.
