23 Evergreen Park HS Seniors Get Scholastic Honor
Evergreen Park's senior class has 23 students who've been recognized as Illinois State Scholars.

From ISAC: Evergreen Park Community High School is proud to announce that 23 EPCHS seniors have been recognized as 2019-20 Illinois State Scholars. They are: Kayla Benson, Nolan Brennan, Steven Brennan, Kayley Burke, Aidan Doogan, Kayley Elgersma, Emma Ferriter, Tessa Foley, Julie Frederickson, Damian Gilbert, Neema Griffin, Brian Gutrich, Isabelle Haun, Lucas Kantzler, Henry Lee, Kathleen Malone, Lindsay Measner, Haley Ortell, Hannah Rahm, Abby Ryan, Kristopher Symanski, Isabella Villamil and Emily Walden. Note that the honorees are recognized based on the year they would begin postsecondary education, i.e. 2019-20. Honorees will receive a congratulatory letter from ISAC, a personalized Certificates of Achievement, as well as a digital Illinois State Scholar badge. The badge can be displayed on their online profiles and social media accounts and shared with high school counselors, prospective colleges, employers, family members and others. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) is the state agency committed to helping make college accessible and affordable for Illinois families. To date, more than 21,000 students from 757 schools have been recognized for their academic achievements since the designation was first introduced in 1958.
Illinois State Scholars possess strong academic potential and are chosen based on a combination of exemplary ACT or SAT test scores and sixth semester class rank. For additional information on ISAC, visit www.isac.org. Congratulations to these outstanding students!
