• 9/11 Food Drive Brings In Hundreds Of Donations At EPCHS (patch.com) — Evergreen Park Community High School students, staff, families and neighbors joined forces for a 9/11 Day of Service food drive that collected about 200 non-perishable items for the Evergreen Park Food Pantry. The multi-day effort, tied to the 25th anniversary of the attacks, highlighted how the community continues turning remembrance into concrete support for local residents facing food insecurity.
   

• Seattle Torrent Sign Second Overall Pick Abbey Murphy (oursportscentral.com) — A standout hockey forward from Evergreen Park has signed a two-year deal with the new Seattle Torrent of the Professional Women's Hockey League, turning her record-setting college career into a pro opportunity. The 24-year-old, already an Olympic gold and silver medalist, will join a 17-player roster as Seattle prepares for its inaugural 2026-27 season.
