EVERGREEN PARK, IL – Evergreen Park Community High School will highlight its academic, athletic and extracurricular programs during an Open House scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4.
"We are excited to welcome all Evergreen Park middle school students to attend our Open House and experience all that EPCHS has to offer," EPCHS Principal Matt Dugan said.
EPCHS students will lead tours of the school building and adjacent athletic fields, while representatives from various athletic teams, clubs and activities will be on hand to showcase the many opportunities available to students at EPCHS.
"The Open House is a perfect opportunity to interact with all of our clubs and sports in one place at the same time," said Amy Kazin, EPCHS' director of activities. "Come to have conversations with coaches and sponsors, but more importantly, hear from the students themselves about the extracurriculars that complete the Mustang experience."
In all, the school offers 23 clubs and activities and 22 sports teams across the fall, winter and spring athletic seasons.
"I would love to invite you to see the state of the art sporting facilities we have to offer," said Jim Soldan, who has been EPCHS' athletic director for more than 20 years.
"We offer turf football, baseball, and softball fields as well as a beautiful pool, separate wrestling room, two fitness centers and a sports complex with 8 volleyball and basketball courts, a turf practice facility and a newly added bowling alley."
EPCHS encourages all prospective students and their families to attend any and all extracurricular and athletic events outside of the Open House as well.
As the community high school, Evergreen Park families are an integral part of the culture at EPCHS.
"So come by for Open House, but then come back for a game, a concert or other special event," Kazin said. "You're always welcome."
EPCHS encourages those planning to attend the Open House to register here.
