Author Discusses Hollywood Novel 'From Dust To Stardust' At EP Library
Best-selling author Kathleen Rooney discusses her new novel about the silent film industry Dec. 14 at the Evergreen Park Public Library.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Author Kathleen Rooney will be visiting the Evergreen Park Public Library to discuss her latest book, “From Dust to Stardust,” a novel about Hollywood and the cost of stardom. The presentation is set for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14.
The story is inspired by the life and work of silent movie star Colleen Moore and is based in Chicago in 1916.
Rooney is the bestselling author of "Cher Ami and Major Whittlesey" and" Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk." She is also a founding editor of Rose Metal Press, a nonprofit publisher of literary work in hybrid genres, as well as a founding member of Poems While You Wait, a collective of poets and their vintage typewriters who compose poetry on demand.
