Brothers Nabbed In Drug Raid: Cops
Drug raid uncovers MDMA, cannabis, Alprazolam, crack and 14 rounds of live ammo, prosecutor said.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Evergreen Park arrested two brothers after finding cannabis, crack, MDMA and ammo while executing a search warrant, prosecutors said. David Rodriguez, 29, and kid brother Alejandro Rodriguez, 22, appeared before Cook County Judge John Mahoney on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and cannabis. David Rodriguez has a parole hold.
Around 2:15 p.m. Jan. 31, police conducted a search warrant in the 9600 block of South Francisco Ave. David Rodriguez was leaving the house when police arrived. Officers found two pills of MDMA in his pocket, the prosecutor said. David was escorted back into the house, where police found his younger brother, Alejandro. Officers went into the brothers’ bedroom, where the prosecutor said they found 117 grams of cannabis, 30 Alprazolam, MDMA and 5 grams of crack. The officers also found 14 live rounds of ammo and a digital scale.
David is currently on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections, where he had been serving a five-year sentence stemming from a conviction for possession of a controlled substance. Alejandro has no prior criminal background, the prosecutor said.

The assistant public defender told the judge that David currently works as a cook at Pizza Hut. Alejandro drives a forklift.
The judge set David Rodriguez’s bail at $100,000. Alejandro was released on a $10,000 I-bond. The brothers are due back in court March 1 in Bridgeview.
