Candlelight Theatre 2016 Season Debuts With 'The Big Broadcast'

One-time performance on Jan. 9 recreates old time Big Band radio broadcast.

The Evergreen Park Recreation Department’s Candlelight Theatre kicks off its 2016 season with a one-night performance of its annual classic, “The Big Broadcast,” recalling the days of old-time radio.

“The Big Broadcast” recreates a Big Band radio broadcast, complete with vocals and radio comedy.

The show features the talents of the Evergreen Park Community High School Jazz Ensemble as the 1945 CBC Orchestra. Rounding out the cast are vocalists Tim Broniec, Kevin Denny, Cathi Diamond, Mike Erickson, Mary Kooy, Erin Lawrence, Shaina Lieske, Suzanne Noonan, Jessica Patrick, Michelle Pniewski and Richard Leo.

Seating includes banquette tables and row seating. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students.
