Car Accident Leads to Man's Arrest on Drug Charges: Prosecutor
Hickory Hills man claims he has prescription after accident in Pete's Fresh Market parking lot, assistant public defender tells judge.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Evergreen Park police found a metal container full of prescription pills while investigating an accident that occurred in a supermarket parking lot accident, prosecutors said.
Luay Khattab, 27, of Hickory Hills, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He is also accused of driving on a suspended driver’s license.
According to the allegations, police responded around 5:30 p.m. Nov. 22 to Pete’s Fresh Market, 3720 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park for a report of an accident. The prosecutor said that Khattab was seen changing seats with the front seat passenger to conceal his suspended license. Police said they found suspect alprazolam and dextroamphetamine inside a metal container.
