Car Crashes After Brief Chase by Oak Lawn Cops

A brief pursuit of a car that began in Oak Lawn on Monday afternoon ended in a crash in Chicago Ridge.

Police observed a drug transaction that began in Oak Lawn and a brief pursuit ensued. The chase was discontinued but the car, a white Dodge Magnum, continued into Chicago Ridge, where it crashed at 101st Street and Ridgeland Avenue, according to sources.

The male driver and his female passenger, reportedly 38 weeks pregnant, got out of the car and fled. Both were apprehended moments later by police.

The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with minor injuries, according to sources.
