Students served breakfast to their guests in the school cafeteria, then headed to the gym for performances by the Central Middle School band and choir.
Many students wore their scout uniforms and demonstrated folding the American flag into a triangle, symbolizing the three-cornered hats worn by soldiers in the Revolutionary War.
“It lasted a little over two hours,” said Claudia Park, communications coordinator for Dist. 124. “Students acted as wait staff and served them their meal. It was just touching.”
