Crystal Heart Ball - Little Company of Mary Hospital Foundation

More than 85 years ago, the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary opened the doors of Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park because they recognized a need to provide exceptional, compassionate healthcare to better serve the people of the local community. We continue to celebrate the commitment to our community made decades ago, and invite you to join us at the Crystal Heart Ball to be held at The Field Museum on February 6, 2016. As Little Company of Mary Hospital’s premiere fundraising event, the Crystal Heart Ball annually attracts more than 850 supporters and their guests for an exquisite evening of celebration and merriment. The proceeds from this year’s gala will benefit the LCMH Pediatric Department as they embark on their groundbreaking service line partnership with University of Chicago Medicine to bring uncompromising care to families in Southwest Chicagoland.

Two honors will be presented for outstanding accomplishments and service: The Venerable Mary Potter Humanitarian Award will be presented to Choose Kind – Kerry Ryan Lynch, a community awareness organization/activist whose mission is to inform and inspire local children to be accepting of others differences and educate those on craniofacial conditions associated with Apert Syndrome. The Sister Nancy Boyle Award for Excellence will recognize the LCMH Pastoral Care Team. These individuals celebrate our LCM Heritage and Catholic Identity while meeting the diverse spiritual needs of our staff and physicians, patients and their families; assisting them in navigating end-of-life decisions; and providing comprehensive bereavement services.
