Culver's ‘Back The Badge’ Honors CPD Officer Ella French

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Culver’s locations in Evergreen Park, Oak Lawn and Bridgeview will be hosting Back The Badge Day in support of fallen CPD Officer Ella French and her critically wounded partner Officer Carlos Yanez Jr., who remains hospitalized.

From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, Culver’s will be donating 20-percent of food sales to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, which provides support and financial assistance to the families of fallen and catastrophically injured Chicago police officers.
Stop by for a butter burger, frozen custard or a fish sandwich at the following locations:

  • 9515 S. Kedzie Ave., Evergreen Park
  • 10745 S. Cicero Ave., Oak Lawn
  • 9229 S. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview

Operation Blue Bag, a citizen's group that supports the Chicago police and law enforcement across the country, will be at will be at the Oak Lawn Culver’s at 4 p.m., selling mini Thin Blue Line flags, bulbs, bagpipes and other items. Proceeds will go toward Operation Blue Bag’s efforts to distribute blue bags to police officers containing snacks, gum, hand sanitizer, PPE and other care items during their shifts. The group has distributed 4,000 bags to CPD officers to date, will be dropping off 200 blue bags to French's Community Safety Team South unit this week.
