CWC, Mother Butter's, Park Schwinn, United Homeowners Present to Winners

Five-Year Old submits winning guess to win red bike.

Five-year old Rubie Hall accepts her first-place prize, a bike, after guessing exactly “10,000 kernels” were packed in the glass jar at Mother Butter’s Popcorn & Confectionary in Evergreen Park.

The Evergreen Park kindergartner filled out her own submission slip,

with the comma perfectly placed and her phone number posted in large numbers. Rubie listed only her first name in capital letters on the form to outguess thousands who entered the contest loosely bookended by Thanksgiving and Christmas and sponsored by Park Schwinn, Christmas Without Cancer, the EP United Homeowners Association and Mother Butter’s.

Surrounded by sponsors, Rubie was joined by second place winner Heidi Rigik and third place winner Keeghan OReilly, both of whom received gift packages from Mother Butter’s and gift certificates from Park Schwinn. Gerri Neylon represented Christmas Without Cancer and Village trustees Jim McQuillan and Mark Marzullo were on hand for the Homeowners Association.
