Dangerous Wind Chills: EP School Closures For Tuesday

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — EVERGREEN PARK is under a wind chill warning until noon Tuesday, and a wind chill advisory until 9 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, dangerously cold wind winds of 25 to 40 below zero are expected during the wind chill warning. The lowest wind chills will be at night and during the morning.

With the cold, some schools in Evergreen Park have announced closures or e-learning days for Tuesday, including:

• Evergreen Park ESD 124 - e-Learning
• Evergreen Park Community High School - e-Learning
• Most Holy Redeemer School - e-Learning (Evergreen Park)
• Queen of Martyrs School (Evergreen Park) - e-Learning
• Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School (Chicago) - e-LEarning
• Marist High School (Chicago) - “Asynchronous learning day;” students are to check Canvas for assignments. Teachers are available via email during the time of their class period for questions.)
• Brother Rice High School (Chicago) - e-Learning
• St. Laurence High School (Burbank) - e-Learning
• Christ the King School (Chicago) - e-Learning
• St. Christina School (Chicago) - Closed, along with all afterschool activities, meetings, games, etc.
• Most Holy Redeemer School - e-Learning (Evergreen Park)
• Queen of Martyrs School (Evergreen Park) - e-Learning

• Chicago Public Schools - All CPS classes are canceled, including after school activities
